An interesting mother, calf and escort
Seeing a mother fight against an escort was incredible, I have never seen a female get this aggressive before.
The full story is here, we saw them again today and all seemed mellow, with the mother bringing the calf over for a swim.

Whale Season 2011- So Far
For some of the latest information and findings of the whale season this year read this post.
Despite some trying weather the whales have still been very good, some noticeable behaviour changes since 2010. Lots more information to come in the last 5 weeks of the season.

Time is flying......
he he so much for daily posts, by the time we get home we can barely stay awake. The last week on the whales has been amazing, so much activity both above and below the water. On Thursday alone we had interaction with 19 whales, and swam with 9 individuals.
Our guests were certainly treated to many highlights during their week stay....... Now if I can get my internet speed up a little I will be able to get some pics up. At the moment I have been mainly doing surface photography, but have no fear my camera is always near..... he he
